as part of the ACM International Conference on Information Technology for Social Good (GoodIT 2022)
Autonomous and human-controlled mobile objects are increasingly present in water, land and sky scenarios, becoming an essential tool for fully automated or human-assisted missions, services, and applications. Smartphones and IoT devices are widespread in our cities, creating a hyper-connected society. Groups of autonomous vehicles, even flying ones, can perform actions and provide services and applications in several application fields, such as environment, agriculture, disaster management and recovery, smart cities, smart transportation and entertainment. Intelligent vehicles provide new smart environments (cities, harbours, factories, offices, homes, etc.) with the additional features given by their actuation capabilities, which aim at improving, at the same time, the performance of a specific mission as well as the performance of the underlying communication network. The three different contexts: land, water and sky, as well as the integrated contexts, have already gained momentum showing the opportunities to provide benefits to our whole society. However, to fully exploit this potential, we first have to address numerous research issues, to design and develop reliable, green, affordable and efficient networking and applications. This track focuses on the open research challenges and their practical solutions, as well as on the standardization activities and the applications and products already existing.

The AVEC Symposium has a long history and a strong reputation as one of the most fascinating international conferences on vehicle system dynamics and control. Since the first symposium was held in Yokohama in 1992, AVEC has become internationally renowned as its successive events in Tsukuba, Aachen, Nagoya, Michigan, Hiroshima, Arnhem, Taipei, Kobe, Loughborough, Seoul, Tokyo, Munich and Beijing. The concept of AVEC’22 stays unchanged, as it contributes to future research and development through the active exchange of knowledge and vision among engineers from a wide range of disciplines involved in vehicle control on a 50/50 basis from industry and academia.
The organizing committee cordially invites you to become a part of AVEC ’22 for getting knowledge and impression about state-of-the-art research and development in advanced vehicle control through active discussions with various participants from industries and academic circles.
We’re excited to announce that the 28th ITS World Congress will be held in Los Angeles in 2022, marking the signature event’s return to the United States for the first time since 2014. ITS World Congress 2022 will be held September 18-22 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The premier event for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) will bring together industry stakeholders, including policymakers, OEM’s, entrepreneurs, researchers, academics, investors, and other leaders from around the World to connect, network, and participate in live conference sessions in which industry experts present the latest developments in ITS along with a comprehensive Exhibit Hall showcasing cutting-edge technology.
Let’s shape the future together
European Research and Innovation Days is the European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
The event will take place online on 28 and 29 September 2022, allowing everyone to get involved from anywhere.
This year’s European Research and Innovation Days gives you the opportunity to discuss and shape new solutions to strengthen Europe’s resilience and its strategic autonomy. Join us to debate how research and innovation deliver on the European Commission’s priorities.
This is your chance to discuss the new European Innovation Agenda, the European Year of Youth, the richness of European cultural creativity, the Horizon Europe Missions and many more topics.
BEC2022, the 18th Biennial Conference on Electronics and Embedded Systems will be held in Tallinn, Estonia on October 2022. Tallinn University of Technology has been hosted previous Baltic Electronics Conferences in 1987, 1989, 1991, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. The aim of the Conference is to promote research and development in the field of electronics and embedded systems, particularly in the Baltic Sea region.
Future Networks: A Comprehensive Look at 5G and Beyond
The 2022 IEEE Future Networks World Forum (formerly 5G World Forum) aims to bring experts from industry, academia, and research to exchange their vision as well as their achieved advances towards future networks of 5G and beyond and encourage innovative cross-domain studies, research, early deployment and large-scale pilot showcases that address the challenges of future networks.
The 2022 IEEE Future Networks World Forum (FNWF’22), returning to a full in-person format, seeks contributions on how to nurture and cultivate future networks technologies and applications for the benefit of society. These systems should unveil a novel mobile network architecture that not only improves physical data rate, but also creates a new ecosystem allowing the deployment of novel services and applications. A key target is to build a novel network architecture that should support not only classical mobile broadband applications and services but also vertical industry (e.g. Intelligent Transport, Industrial IoT, eHealth, etc.) and other future networks-based services.
The annual PortComms Conference is a unique, highly focused event examining the battle to install and improve wireless networks in ports.
It regularly attracts speakers and attendees from the largest and most forward-looking ports in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
The Conference concentrates on actual case studies from port companies and operators. They will discuss the problems encountered as they have started to implement continuous wireless network connectivity across their often complex campuses.
Join the debate, question those involved and find out the issues faced by those who have launched services and discuss where they will take them next. This is your chance to meet the people who are shaping this market, who are driving it forward and bringing in new services, ideas and technologies.
Held in London on the 9th and 10th of November, PortComms 2022 is an exclusive gathering of the main customers and leading suppliers in this complex, fast-moving market.
The Wireless Communications in Ports Conference will feature real-world experiences from leading Port Operators and Authorities across the world who have been immediately involved in the complexities of specifying and setting up their port’s wireless networks and trials.
As with BWCS’ successful TrainComms conference we have focused primarily on getting the Port Operators to tell their stories and outline their plans for the future.
However, please be advised that tickets are extremely limited and are selling out fast.
The Conference has attracted port operators and suppliers from all over the world. Those attending will hear directly from the companies that are launching wireless networks and adding new cost-cutting solutions. BWCS has worked with all the major players in this new market to make Port Communications Systems 2022 a success.
The Conference will feature a combination of interactive workshops, panel sessions, presentations and networking sessions exploring the commercial and technical issues arising from the deployment of wireless networks in ports around the world.
